Riviera Walensee Weesen Quinten

An awesome walk in autumn,

ideally after some heavy rain (for the waterfall), but on a sunny and dry day.

The first half of the hike is on a mostly level road, just above the lake. To visit the Serenbachfälle take the turn-off to the left which is only about 100 m after the 'Kapelle Betlis'. Another 2.5 km later you will reach two signs to Quinten - the upper trail and the lower trail. Take the upper trail! It will be steep but worth every additional breath you use. Bring your walking sticks. There is a very nice view onto the lake, the mountains and the vineyards on the way down to Quinten.

Make sure you have got enough time at the end, because there are two restaurants at the Quinten waterfront. From there take the boat to Weesen or to Murg and then the train to Ziegelbrücke or Weesen.

How to get there

By train to Ziegelbrücke, then by Postauto 650 (Direction: Amden) to bus stop "Fli Seestern"  (6th stop), backtrack 20 m and turn left into Betliserstrasse.

By car to Lake Parking Weesen, walk on the main road (with the lake on your right) for about
1 km and then follow the hiking instructions.

Kid / Family Friendly?

Yes, if the children are used to hiking
