This hike has great mountain views and is a really beautiful wander around above the tree line.

My favourite lake is the second lake not far from the beginning which is a crater lake at the top of the mountain. There is a steep hike to get to it but it is really worth the climb as when you get there it is such a beautiful deep blue water that reflects the mountains peaks and glacier surrounding it.

There are several lovely lakes on the hike, awesome views and lots of beautiful places to sit and contemplate the beauty of nature and have a picnic. You may even see Gemsen.

Kid / Family Friendly?

Yes - Children 12 plus

Important to know

It is a strenuous walk with the first part being very steep. The path is rocky and parts are unstable.

You start from the top chairlift then return from the middle one. The chairlift generally closes at 16.30 so start early.

The hike is very popular so it is best to go during the week.
